IBO Welcomes New Staff

Sherry Login. Ms. Login joined IBO in April 2000 as a senior budget and policy analyst focusing on sanitation issues. Before joining IBO, Ms. Login was an independent consultant working on a range of environmental issues including wood recycling, corporate environmental reporting and ISO 14001 environmental management systems. She has also worked as a senior environmental scientist for Foster Wheeler Environmental Corporation, a sustainable energy technical adviser for the United Nations Development Programme, an environmental consultant for The World Bank, a Superfund project manager for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and an environmental analyst for the Israel Ministry of the Environment. Ms. Login received a Master's Degree in Public and Private Management and a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies, both from Yale University, and a B.S. in Environmental Technology from Cornell University.

Merrill Pond. Ms. Pond joined the IBO in June 2000 as a budget and policy analyst focusing on environmental policy issues. Before joining IBO, Ms. Pond was a graduate student in environmental policy and natural resource management at Indiana University. As a graduate student, Ms. Pond served as a research associate with the Indiana Conflict Resolution Institute, where she completed research on alternative dispute resolution programs in the private and public sectors. Ms. Pond received a Master's Degree in Public Affairs from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, Bloomington. She received a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, a Master's Degree in Philosophy from the University of Connecticut, and a B.A. from St. John's College, Annapolis.

Elizabeth Zeldin. Ms. Zeldin joined IBO in June 2000 as an Assistant Budget and Policy Analyst, focusing on New York City's parks, libraries, and cultural institutions. Prior to her arrival at IBO, she interned at Jersey City's Division of City Planning and Economic Development. Ms. Zeldin received her B.A. in economics from Rutgers College, where she authored a thesis on New Jersey's Urban Enterprise Zone program.
